Professor of Theatre or Film or Television University of Reading Department of Film, Theatre & Television School of Arts, English & Communication Design Start date: 1 September 2009 We need someone at the highest level of academic achievement in Theatre or Film or Television to join this excellent department with 90% of its research evaluated as of international standing in the 2008 RAE. You will maintain and enhance the department’s research excellence, provide research leadership, initiate and collaborate on funded research projects, teach and develop teaching at UG and PG levels and contribute towards departmental administration. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in the 20th and 21st century period. You will have: · A track record of world-leading and/or internationally excellent research outputs · A track record of success in obtaining external research funding · Experience of postgraduate research supervision, including supervising doctoral students to completion · Experience of undergraduate and postgraduate programme design, management and delivery. Experience of teaching practical work in theatre or digital video will be an advantage.
