Feeling Good:

Health information for children and young people

This two day international conference will bring together library and information workers, health professionals, researchers and those from the voluntary sector with an interest in the effective and innovative provision of health information for children and young people.

 

Sessions include:

·                   Evidence into practice: Evaluating a child-centred information intervention for diabetes medicine management (The EPIC Project)

·                   Young mothers who choose to breastfeed: the importance of familial and peer support

·                   Baby Café in Felixstowe Library

·                   The Development of a Healthy Lifestyle Programme for Adolescent Girls using an Action Research Approach

·                   Teenage Health Freak books/websites

·                   HIV/AIDS in Young Adult Novels

·                   Health Wise: The primary and secondary school/6th form college library and their roles in promoting health and wellbeing through fact and fiction

·                   Healthybooks.org.uk – Bibliotherapy for Children

·                   Health Messages to Children in the Literature

Registration fees: £190 for both days, or £100 for 1 day.
