Hi I am interested in finding out how other library services are managing electronic access to the Lancet. Our subscription was changed to print-only in January this year after several years of a print + online subscription. We have been quoted £4,000+ for an electronic subscription (covering one Athens organisation) which includes a single 'free' print copy. Our service has 3 library sites and covers several different Athens organisations so even at this price we would not be providing access for a large proportion of our potential users. If you have any experience of setting up electronic access to the Lancet in 2009 especially if you have found a more cost effective alternative to this I'd be very grateful for your advice. If anyone else is interested let me know and I will send out a summary of responses.
