Tom and others:
This thread of emails covers a wide range
of material, some of which appears to be only tangentially related to questions
and issues concerning wisdom. But the question of a whether there is a “guardian
of that wisdom”, and who or what that might be, may be in line with the intent
of the new Friends of Wisdom Forum (http://www.fowforum.org/fowforum/default.asp
). If there is sufficient interest in discussions about possible ancient
connections to wisdom, it may be appropriate to create a topic on the forum to facilitate
those discussions.
Please let me know if this might be of
some interest to you, and, if so, some suggestions for topics related to ancient
wisdom.
Cheers,

Subject: Re: Mayan Wisdom:
Apocalypse 2012
What I find interesting from an FoW PoV is that the Great
Pyramid appears to have been constructed, not as a tomb, but as a
container of wisdom, built to withstand enormous cataclysms. (Herodotus
describes how the sides were replete with carved inscriptions, expressing all
the wiisdom and theorems of the ancients.) Also interesting is the way it's
taken almost exactly the full length of a couple of Mayan cyces for this to
become apparent!.
Now I ask you (and there is, I am
fairly certain, an answer) who, all these years, do you think has
quietly been the guardian of that wisdom?
