2 x Lectureship/Senior Lectureship/Readership Posts in Transport

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College London invites 
applications from outstanding candidates for two academic posts at Lecturer/Senior 
Lecturer/Readership level, based in the Centre for Transport Studies.

These two posts are in the areas of:

*	Transport Economics and Policy

*	Transport and Environmental Planning

The Centre for Transport Studies (www.imperial.ac.uk/cts) is one of the largest and most 
successful transport groups in Europe, with a wide ranging and high quality programme of 
research and teaching activities, and is the focus for transport research throughout the 
College. It is based in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, which in the 
recent UK Research Assessment Exercise, was one of six departments within Imperial 
College to achieve the highest top-rated status (4*); 95% of its staff being judged as world-
leading or internationally excellent.

Applications are invited from individuals with a strong academic record (including a relevant 
PhD or equivalent) in any area of (a) transport economics and policy or (b) transport and 
environmental planning. Successful candidates will be expected to contribute to 
undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and to play a leading role in developing the 
Centre´s research in their respective specialism, building on and extending the Centre´s 
current research activities.
