About ELPUB 2009:
Electronic publishing via the Internet is continuously changing its
shapes and models, challenging traditional players to adapt to new
contexts. New opportunities and new needs invite us to rethink
electronic publishing, to innovate communication paradigms and
technologies. The ELPUB 2009 conference will focus on key issues in e-
communications, exploring dissemination channels, business models,
technologies, methods and concepts.

The three-day event will begin with a full day of technical
workshops, tutorials and demonstrations. The following two days will
feature contributed papers and posters examining a broad range of
technical, conceptual, policy, and financial aspects of scholarly
communication and showcasing significant experiences and lessons
learnt. A symposium on openness in the academic environment will be
run by Leaslie Chan and Gale Moore, and special keynotes by Henk Moed
and Simon Tanner will enrich the programme. A lively social programme
will provide the chance to meet and exchange views with speakers and
participants from all continents.
