Hello Crystallographers, Is the assumption correct that x-ray fluorescence is exactly the same process as occurs in the UV-vis range, but simply with higher-energy photons? If so, does anybody know of a source for numbers like fluorescence lifetime and quantum yield for the "usual suspect" heavy atoms (Se, Hg, etc.). This might be quite helpful to me...
