Are you planning to attend the ACA 2009 Conference in
Calgary, AB, May 14 – 17, 2009? If you are, now is the time to complete
your registration. There are just 7 days remaining to the close of
pre-registration on April 27th.
Conference information including a Conference at a Glance as
well as online program with detailed descriptions of sessions and activities
are all available at www.archivists.ca/conference
The conference sessions are located at the Fairmont Palliser
Hotel, 133 9th Avenue S.W. in Calgary, AB. As we have passed the
reservation deadline you will have to check with the hotel directly for room
availability and current rates. There is however, a small block of rooms being
held at the at the Hyatt Regency Calgary, at the same $169 per night rate,
single or double occupancy. Reservations may be made through the hotel's
Reservation Department at 1-800-233-1234 using the ACA group code is
"G-ARCH". The cut-off date for reservations is May 6, 2009.
While many individuals took advantage of the Early Bird
registration savings, there are still a number of social activities which have
space available including the Archives Geek Fest, the two pre-conference workshops,
the Blackfoot Crossing tour, the reception and 1-act play and the film night as
well as the Dinner & Dance. Don’t miss any of these excellent
