Job description: A Research Officer vacancy has arisen within the School for Health at the University of Bath. The appointment will be within the Sport, Health and Exercise Science group. The Research Officer will be directly involved in a project investigating relationships between children's physical activity, fitness and health outcomes, especially childhood obesity. The project is part of a birth cohort study - the Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children. The main responsibilities of the post will be data management and analysis, and preparation of high quality journal articles. The post will suit candidates from the field of Sport and Exercise Science, or other relevant fields within the health sciences. Candidates with a strong statistical background are particularly encouraged to apply. You should be conscientious, well-organised and able to work within a multi-disciplinary team of sports scientists and epidemiologists.
