Surprised myself by initially drafting this during the NatGalArt's screening of
Sharits' 1968 flicker film this past Saturday.  Within range of
homophonic and homolinguistic translation, but not quite either.  My
friend David Franks (poet, composer,conceptual artist) is on screen
for a large percentage of the film's 12 minute duration and I'm
virtually certain Sharits let him produce the soundtrack. Samples of "T,O,U,C,H,I,N,G" are 
available online, but they don't compare to the powerful mind-manifesting impression the 
newly-restored version had on the audience.  Certainly not as intense, but still well worth 
watching and available in its entirety, Paul Sharits' "Word-Movie" can be viewed at:
