Hi all-- I have a new publication in case anyone would find it useful in their research: Hughes, S. 2009. Noble Marten (Martes americana nobilis) Revisited: Its Adaptation and Extinction. Journal of Mammalogy 90(1): 74-92. This paper uses faunal associations to reconstruct the habitat of the extinct noble marten and to comment on the cause of its extinction. The paper also introduces a new noble marten specimen recovered from Mummy Cave in northwestern Wyoming. Best wishes- Susan Susan S.
