Does anyone know of examples of research regarding how
visitors read panels in terms of directionality (i.e. left to right/ right to
left) and also whether it makes a difference if there is inconsistency within a
gallery (i.e. some panels read one ways and some the other way, e.g. do they
get accustomed to it being one way round and then confused if one panel doesn’t
follow the pattern)? It’s one of those situations where you know what
your gut instinct would be but you need some proof, so if anyone knows of any
examples that would be great. Thanks.
