Just a loose observation this - my most recent stay in hospital (a few
weeks ago) brought mildly to mind just how much problems of scale
obtain. This time, I was a much smaller hospital than previously, and
it was hard not to notice how an institution where you recognise faces
(and they recognise you) works better (I'm thinking of NHS in all
cases btw)
