Bodies of Thought – UK Perspectives on Experimental Dance Practice

Friday 20th, 27th March & 3rd April   7 – 8.30pm

Friday 20th March - Martin Hargreaves and Nicholas Quinn

Asking Questions with Dance

In asking what now we might also need to ask what next and what then. And maybe a range of why now, who not then, where next come up. And, where now, what not then, and why next. That’s not to say there are answers to these but perhaps there are different ways of posing the questions. Nicolas Quinn and Martin Hargreaves engage in some speculation about asking questions with dance.

Nicholas Quinn – Nicholas Quinn trained as a dancer at Laban, London 2004-2007, and upon completing his training he participated in danceWEB 2007.  More recently he has been working in France under the experimental educational programme ex.e.r.ce ‘08 in Montpellier. Nicholas has worked as a performer/collaborator with Liz King/DI.D, Xavier Le Roy, Superlative Arts, Helena Stenkvist and Luis Miguel-Felix amongst others.  He currently lives and works from Malmo, Sweden.

Friday 27th March – Nicholas Ridout
