>On 2nd April  2009 ALISS (Association of Librarians and Information Professionals in the Social Sciences) will be holding a one day workshop on the practical implementation of web 2.0 technology by library and information staff. Come along to find out more about how you can use images, RSS feeds and tools for collaborative working in your daily work. It will include presentations from ongoing projects, practical tips from practitioners with opportunities to experiment with hands-on exercises yourself.

>Paul Ayres from Intute: Social Sciences will take you through a range of social media websites - Twitter, Delicious, SlideShare, blogs, podcasts and YouTube - showing how Social Scientists are using them and how you could use them too.

>Dave Kilbey from JISC Digital Media will explain about image use from online sources and guide you to the best free image resources on the Web
>
>Angela Joyce from the Intute Integration project will demonstrate use of RSS Intute newsfeeds and the MyIntute customising service
