There are two AHRC-funded programmes in which German Studies at Newcastle are involved

·         One professional preparation mastership for the MA in Professional Translating for European Languages

·         One research preparation mastership for Linguistics; cf. German Linguistics and the main Lingustics website

All information for applications for Masters and PhD awards to be found on the PG website of the School.

The School of Modern Languages’ closing date for completed applications to be considered for AHRC-funding was 27 February 2009 but because of the tight turn around, the deadline was extended. Additionally, there are several School bursaries available with the deadline of 30 June 2009. Informal enquiries may be directed to Henrike Lähnemann (Director of Postgraduate Studies).
