In what way is this naming and shaming? Anyone in the vicinity on that particular day could have seen how this person had parked. Those intent on using Streetview for spotting people doing bad things have no way of identifying him, unless we are local to the street in question, in which case we could have seen what he was doing in a public place anyway. I hardly imagine that the police are about to spend months trawling Google for old traffic violations. Or is that naïve?
