Department of Management Science, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK Two EPSRC PhD scholarships with an enhanced stipend are available with three and a half year duration. The Department of Management Science is an energetic research active department with interests that cover a wide spectrum of interdisciplinary applied operational research. The department forms part of the Strathclyde Business School, which was ranked by the Financial Times amongst the top 5 Business Schools in the UK and amongst the top 10 based on the RAE results, We have four core areas of expertise: problem structuring & mixing methods, strategy modelling & management, operations management and operational risk & reliability modelling. A masters degree in Operational Research / Management Science/Statistics would be an advantage, but is not essential.
