Dear All, We have this year implemented a central fund, to ensure equity (we had evidence that staff were being treated differently and even on occasion made to feel they were being a burden on departmental budgets). The budget is from University core funds designated by the Vice Chancellor and held by Human Resources. All HoD's have been requested to refer staff requiring adjustments, including AtoW, to a named person in Human Resources. As part of this new framework we are developing a database of adjustments made, which will hopefully become a useful resource in itself. Best wishes, Moira Moira Mitchell Equality and Diversity Manager Canterbury Christ Church University tel: 01227 782795 -----Original Message----- From: HE Administrators equal opportunities list [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Sanchia Alasia Sent: 06 March 2009 09:09 To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Paying for reasonable adjustments I would be interested in how your university pays for reasonable adjustments for staff with disabilities. Here we do not have a central pot, each department pays individually. For those of you who have a central pot: 1. How is this funded? 2. How are applications made to it? 3. Is there a cap on how much monetary assistance is given to each department/individual?
