Now, Bob, what is wrong with Warrington?

Warrington has a long and noble history, indeed it used to be known as the
³Athens of the North². Not because of its climate, beauty nor charm but
because of its association with Preistly who taught at the Warrington
Academy and claims to have discovered Oxygen. (The accolade of that
discovery has been disputed by the Swedes and the French but we wonıt go
down that route it would be far too jingoistic and unbefitting of a HEFCE
funded site.) In the 21st Century Warrington is famous for its rugby, wire
works and soap factory what more could one ask, almost, but not quite, as
desirable as a move to Athens.
