Subject: Audit of work for families from black & minority ethnic groups

Dear Colleague

RE: Audit of work for families from black and minority ethnic groups and newly arrived communities

The Valuing People Support Team has commissioned the Family Carer Support Service at Home Farm Trust (HFT) to find out about work for Family Carers of people with learning disabilities from black and minority ethnic groups and newly arrived communities.

Do you know what's going on?

The Family Carer Support Service have been asked to write a Briefing Paper for publication at the end of March. This will be a useful reference that will pull together research, valued information and resources, details of current projects and examples of good practice, for those working in learning disability, carers and mainstream diversity and equality fields.

They will be listing everything they hear about so if you can tell us of already established good practice and/or innovative work with smaller lesser known groups and newly arrived communities, please get in touch as soon as possible.

All questions and information will be forwarded to the Family Carer Support Service.

With best wishes

Pam
