Keele University Lecturer in English and Film Studies Research Institute for the Humanities FACULTY OF HUMANITIES & SOCIAL SCIENCES SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES Salary Range: Grade 7a £31,514 - £36,533 We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer with research interests in Film Studies, who will join a successful, established English programme and who will help to inaugurate and then deliver a new programme in Film Studies, projected for 2010. Some of the appointee's teaching responsibilities will be concentrated in film, but she or he should also be prepared to contribute to teaching in one or more of the following areas: Nineteenth Century English Literature; Twentieth Century English Literature; Postcolonial Literature and Theory; Cultural Studies. The successful applicant may teach on programmes in English, English and American Literatures (EALS) and Media, Culture and Communications (MCC) as well as Film Studies. S/he will contribute to the Research Institute's submissions to future research assessment exercises.
