With apologies for cross-posting Dear Information Professional, In conjunction with Dave Pattern from the University of Huddersfield, Bowker are conducting a nationwide survey to see what librarians really think about the current state of their Opacs. This follows on from Dave's initial survey conducted in 2007. Our aim is to find out whether Opacs have improved and are now offering the right features for the Google Generation or if they are still sadly lacking in some areas and causing Opac envy among librarians. Anyone can take part in this survey by logging on to www.bowker.co.uk then following the link from the homepage. The survey only takes a few minutes to do and in return, Bowker will be donating school books to children in countries where resources are scarce, through the Oxfam unwrapped scheme. Thank you.
