Our Scottish government client, requires a GIS/Spatial Database Administrator (DBA), to join their team in Inverness.  This is a superb opportunity to join a team of GIS professionals dedicated to maintaining Scotland's natural history.

 

The ideal candidate will come from an Oracle Database background, ideally working with Oracle Spatial Database. You will also have exposure or direct experience of working with ESRI based products.  Experience of ArcIMS and ArcSDE, as well as Oracle Spatial SDO, SDE and 9i and 10g, would be of specific interest.  ArcGIS Server admin experience is not essential but would be extremely beneficial.  

 

Your responsibilities will include maintaining and developing the existing spatial database, supporting and implementing the web mapping framework, providing technical guidance and quality assurance of spatial data as well as liaising with external clients and suppliers.
