Learning and Access Manager
Grant Museum of Zoology, UCL Museums and Collections,

Grade 7, Full-time, Fixed term for one year
 
We are seeking an enthusiastic manager and science communicator who will be responsible for all Museum users and the organisation, delivery and development of the learning programmes. The post provides a key role in the Museum’s widening participation and audience development strategy and works closely with UCL departments and other HE institutions to increase the use of Grant Museum objects in teaching and research. The post-holder will seek to promote the Museum to new and existing audiences both internally and externally, develop new resources for target groups (UCL staff and students; the wider HE community; adult learners; school and FE groups; families and special interest groups) and provide access to the collections.
 
The post is one year (filling a post vacated by internal secondment), ideally beginning 27th April 2009. Salary will be on UCL Grade 7 (£28,839 to £35,469) plus London Allowance £2781.
 
Applicants should hold a relevant degree (e.g. zoology/biology) and experience of applying enthusiasm for, and knowledge of, natural history. Experience of delivering and developing learning resources is essential.
