BASA Committee has established an Education Working Party. Initially it has been asked to consider (a) education issues at primary, secondary and higher education levels, b) teacher training, and (c ) exploring the establishment of an MA course, and (d) if need be establishing sub- groups to consider different areas.

The members of the Committee on the Working Party are: Marika Sherwood (convenor), Julia Bush, Daniel Gray and Arthur Torrington. BASA members who are not on the Committee who have agreed to join are Martin Spafford and John Siblon. It is hoped that Dan Lyndon (BASA and BlackHistory4Schools websites) will be able to contribute by email from abroad where he is currently working.

If there is anyone else who would like to contribute as a member (inc attending meetings) or by submitting your views, please email me. You do not have to be a member of BASA to take part, but if you are not it would be nice if you joined.
