With apologies for cross-posting

The University of Leeds and Marks & Spencer have just issued a joint press release about plans to make the company's archive publicly available for the first time.

For some time now, staff at Leeds University Library have been in discussion with M&S about developing their archive. As a result, the company's celebration this year of their 125th anniversary will include a special exhibition from the archive at the University of Leeds, and associated academic events. For the longer term, discussions about permanently relocating the archive to the Leeds campus are at an advanced stage.

The full press release at http://www.leeds.ac.uk/ gives more detail about this new venture.
