This is the second announcement for: STATISTICS FOR HEALTH REGISTERS AND LINKED DATABASES A two-day conference organised by the Open University Statistics Group, with funding from the Wellcome Trust WEDNESDAY 20th and THURSDAY 21ST MAY 2009 at the OPEN UNIVERSITY, MILTON KEYNES This conference will focus on the statistical methods used to analyse health data from registers, linked databases and pre-existing electronic patient records of all kinds. The issues to be covered include probabilistic record linkage, confounder control, causal inference, inference from multiple data sources, false discovery, missing data, event history analysis, ethical issues, and a roundtable discussion focused on statistical and epidemiological issues arising in e-health. The conference will consist of invited talks plus the roundtable discussion, together with contributed poster presentations.
