Hi Siobhan
I agree that it is definitely good advice to do a half day rate or full day rate.

I am now in full time employment. As nurses we often sell ourselves short. I did a half day rate, full day or project rate. Living in London doing one hour of work was not viable. Project work commands a lot higher rate. As mentioned below you have to factor in the time you spend on research and writing up work.

You have to remember that you have to take a living wage, pay your overheads including equipment, rent, pension and annual leave, NI etc.

> Good morning,
> I wonder if any of you would be able to help/advise me on what I should charge for an hourly rate when advising a company. They would like help with their policies and processes. I have over 20yrs experience in a number of different industries and am registered as a Specialist Practitioner. Thanks.
