Evaluation of HLF Development Activity - Contract Notice

The Heritage Lottery Fund was set up in 1994 under the National Lottery Act to fund heritage and distribute money raised by the National Lottery to support projects involving the national, regional and local heritage of the United Kingdom (except the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man).  As part of its work, HLF undertakes development activities to encourage good quality applications that meet either:

  1. a)      A geographic priority - identified parts of the UK that have been under-represented in HLF’s funding to date, and/or are recognised as areas of socio-economic deprivation); or

b)      A social priority - particular social groups that tend to be under-represented as participants in heritage activities. These have been identified as people from lower socio-economic groups, from BAME communities and young people.

We are now looking to commission consultants to help evaluate the effectiveness of our development work. The consultant's will be involved with case study research and will undertake direct interviews with organisations that have received development advice. They will also facilitate wider discussion groups involving both external organisations and the HLF development teams and other staff. The period of the contract covers two years, from March 2009 to April 2011. To request a copy of the full contract brief, please email [log in to unmask]

The deadline for receipt of tenders is 19th January 2009.
