Thank you to Sandra Stevenson-Revill and Ralph Holland; this looks like the perfect answer.  We actually purchased the LO collection last week. So as they say “sorted!”

Tyne,

Might want to have a look at the Learning Objects collection of tools. The Expo LX allows students to create pages and blogs and then share them with not only users on the VLE but to external organisations as well.

More Information can be found here http://www.learningobjects.com/

Does anyone know of a tool of a tool or building block which allows students to create a profile area of themselves that is then viewing by everyone else?  We would like to introduce this kind of tool as a net working thing.
