Senior Statistician  (Switzerland - Permanent)

 

Background:

An opportunity to be part of a growing Clinical R&D group within the
International HQ of this respected Pharmaceutical company.

Our client requires an experienced Clinical Statistician to assist in
developing the in-house Biometrics group.

A broad Statistical role with an extensive involvement with CRO
management, Clinical and Medical Research. 

Ideal for a statistician capable of taking a broad business view and
influencing Clinical decisions.

Excellent transport links to the UK / Geneva and Basel

 

Primary Duties:
Provide statistical support for publications, presentations, posters at
medical meetings and any other requests not covered in the clinical
study report. 

This includes data mining, meta-analysis, and support for data-driven
analyses. 

Interact with authors, referees and in-house reviewers in the
preparation of publications, presentation and posters. 

Provide statistical reviews of the proposed design and analysis of
protocols. 

Provide in-house technical advice on current advances in statistical
methodology. 

Determine the most efficient way of performing the analyses balancing
between in-house resources and outside CROs. 

Perform "hand's on" analyses as required. Accurately assess in-house
support needs. Supervise in-house support personnel. 

 

Experience and Qualifications:

*          MS/PH. Master's Degree/Ph.D. in statistics with focus on
statistical methods appropriate for clinical trials 

*          Demonstrated skills and experience in a pharmaceutical
statistical department including direct interaction with clinical
personnel in the planning, 

analysis and reporting of clinical trials 

*          Detailed knowledge of current statistical trends 

*          Excellent SAS skills including report generation 

*          Knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel) 

*          Experience in oncology trials would be an asset 

*          Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing and
organizational skills

*          Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with
medical personnel, clinical monitors, data managers, programmers and
medical writers
