Description
To provide statistical genetics expertise and analytical support to Research and Development Genetics (RDG), and colleagues in drug development and drug discovery areas. 

Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Provide statistical genetics expertise to colleagues during study design, protocol and analysis plan development, hands-on programming and analysis, clear interpretation and reporting of results for studies and projects across the pharmaceutical pipeline, with a particular emphasis on pharmocogenetics.
- Develop a good working relationship with customers across the business, providing consultation and education where needed and promoting the value of genetics and statistical genetics.
- Contribute to methodological, technical and process enhancements in the field of statistical genetics. 

Minimum Requirements - Education and Experience
- Higher degree (MSc/PhD) or equivalent experience in statistical genetics, medical statistics or statistics
- Experience of the application of statistics (including statistical programming) in the pharmaceutical industry or academia
- At least a basic knowledge of genetics, including association analysis of SNP data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
