SUETr Training Event - Embedding Repositories
10th February 2009 – University of Lincoln

For more information, a draft programme and to register for updates, see the project wiki
at - http://suetr-er.wikispaces.com/

Event Overview
If you build it, will they come? Although the job of building an institutional repository is a
demanding one, the key to continued success is to ensure that the IR is firmly embedded
into the policies and practices of your institution.

This one-day event will look at the two foundations of embedding the IR –
    - getting researchers to deposit content as part of their workflow
    - getting internal and external users to access content via the IR

This will be done through a mixture of case studies and workshop sessions.
There will also be time in the day to network with other IR staff and with the speakers.
This event is free and open to all UK HEI staff, though preference will be given to SUE
project staff if the event is over subscribed.

Who should attend?
The events are aimed at staff who are either setting up an institutional repository (IR) or
are already running an IR and are wanting to develop their repository further. The
programme aims to support IR staff with practical sessions from people working in
relevant fields and also to facilitate networking among the UK HEI repositories
community.
