It was designed along the same principles as the traditional and well known hookah, but its small size meant that it was hand held and portable. An opium and tobacco mixture may have been smoked originally. It's made from possibly electroplated silver and has removable tweezers and has what looks like to be Chinese hallmarks. Thing is, it doesn't look like anything we have in the collections? Has anyone come across one of these? Many thanks Becki Rebecca Walker Assistant Museum Officer Nuneaton Museum and Art Gallery Riversley Park Coton Road, Nuneaton Warwickshire CV11 5TU Tel: 024 76 350720 Website: www.nuneatonandbedworth.gov.uk/museum Do you really need to print this email 80% of emails are printed unnecessarily - save paper instead ************************************************************************ DISCLAIMER The information contained in this e-mail is confidential and is intended for the recipient only.
