CfP – Special Issue on Challenges to Liberty and Security in the EU

Dear JCER Reader,

The JCER will dedicate its summer 2009 edition to a Special Issue on
Challenges to Liberty and Security in the EU. This special issue will be
guest edited by Professor Juliet Lodge (University of Leeds). The JCER
editors are currently looking for additional contributions, with
particularly focus on contributions from PhD students and early career
researchers. Papers should address EU internal and external security
issues and may be empirical or theoretical. Critical approaches to the
balance between liberty and security are especially welcome.

Research Articles should be between 6000-8000 words in length.

For further information about the special issue, or to express interest in
contributing an article or commentary please contact Juliet Lodge by email
at [log in to unmask] no later than 31st December 2008. The final
deadline for submission of articles will be in February 2009.
