These may include health care policy, international programs for heath reform, the current risks posed by the antibiotic resistance, changing cultural conceptions of the 'healthy body' or definitions of 'the suffering subject', and so forth. The IJS will be officially published by Manchester University Press from January, 2009 and following this event, the editorial board is hoping to relaunch the journal in the interests of expanding its appeal beyond an Irish academic context, as well as the range of sociological topics published. The deadline for first draft submission is January 14th, but please contact Tracey directly ([log in to unmask]) if you are interested. , Professor Gillian Bendelow, Head of Department Department of Sociology Arts D333 University of Sussex Brighton BN1 9SN Direct line:++44 (0)1273 877558 Email:[log in to unmask] http://www.sussex.ac.uk/sociology/profile158623.html Sociology Co-Ordinator Linda Cooper 01273 678890 <[log in to unmask] ********************************************************************** 1.
