medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture Can anyone tell me anything about one Barnabas de Montalbo ? I gather he was an early Cistercian who wrote a Chronicle or Annals. On-line I have found 3 references to him in a Bollandists collection of documents - in Latin. Nothing in BL or COPAC or the Cath Encycl . Nothing in Wikip !!! Nothing in Med Rel Archives. BTW last Wednesday I got up to the BL and actually got out Cristogonis Henriquez' Menologion Cist. of 1620. Huge folio, a bit frail, splendid binding, metal clasps, the lot. (It had the info. I needed too.) So thanks again.
