The Birmingham School of Media needs a dynamic media and cultural
studies theory lecturer to join our team and to teach on undergraduate
and postgraduate courses.

We enjoy a strong reputation as a centre of excellence for media
education in the UK.  The programmes run by BSM have a strong
vocational focus and where appropriate are accredited by professional
bodies.  You would become part of a growing research and knowledge
transfer group and help develop new programmes.

You should have a broad knowledge of media and cultural theory and the
ability to contribute to team taught modules in media research and
analysis, history of the media, institutional studies and audience
studies.  We would welcome applications from candidates with an area
of academic specialism in one or more of the following: new media,
radio and popular music, media culture, research methods.
