I am writing on behalf of someone who is considering a PG application in Film Studies and wondering which programme to choose. He has been attracted by an advert posted on the MECCSA listserver last week by colleagues from the University of Nottingham, according to which AHRC studentships are available. Can this information possibly be correct? The outcome of the AHRC block grant is not yet known and, to my knowledge, no institution has an official confirmation yet on the availability of AHRC funding for PG studies, let alone advertise it.
