Okay.. I included the patch and tomcat is happy for the moment.

Is it planned to include that into the mainstream gLite distribution? 
Without your help I wasn't able to find this.

And if I may ask another question:

IMHO there are 2 config files, which at least look very similar:

/etc/sysconfig/tomcat5   -and-
/etc/tomcat5/tomcat5.conf

Is one of those obsolete? They are both parsed by the init script, but 
only the 2nd one is handled with the awk statement as described in the 
Savannah bug.
