italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies

I've been asked to circulate the following announcement to the list
(enquiries to email address below):

The website for 'Exoticizing Vesuvius? Formations of Naples c1500-present',
our AHRC-funded Workshops at the Universities of Cambridge and York in
2009, has now been launched:

http://www.york.ac.uk/depts/histart/naples/

The first workshop takes place in Cambridge on 12 Jan 2009

There are separate pages for each of the workshops. Please could you pass
the website's address on to your students and interested colleagues. As you
will note from the site, there is some funding for Ph.D students to allow
them to attend the workshops and we hope that some of your students might
apply.

If you have any questions, please e-mail our student administrator, Simon
Macdonald, at [log in to unmask]

We very much hope that this will be the beginning of a Neapolitanist
cultural network which will truly cross disciplines and chronologies.

Auguri e Buone Feste,

Helen Hills & Melissa Calaresu
