I am just looking at legal enablers to personal information and have come across coroner’s as a potential user of deceased persons’ medical records (and maybe other information). However, the Coroners Act 1988 does not seem to cover access to information and currently I am wondering if their only recourse is via the Freedom of Information Act. Does anyone have any evidence to the contrary? It would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Simon Howarth.
