Data Protection Officer
£25 - 28k according to experience, plus excellent benefits package
The Bank is looking for a Data Protection officer to work in their Public Information and Enquiries group.
The successful candidate will play an important part in making sure that the Bank meets its obligations under the Data Protection Act and will provide business areas with guidance and training on the Bank's policies concerning handling of personal information and will also be involved in delivering staff awareness initiatives.
There will also be opportunities to contribute to the wider work of the Public Enquiries team - typically responding to requests under the Freedom of Information Act and questions about the Bank's roles and operations from members of the public.
Skills/experience
* A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) grades A-C including English and Mathematics.
* At least 2 years working knowledge of the requirements of Data Protection Act.
* Self starter with an ability to work and research with minimum supervision
* Self confident, having excellent communication skills both written and oral and an ability to communicate with all levels of staff.
* Good workload management skills.
