The Climate Outreach Information Network, a charity specialising in training and
engagement with climate change is looking for an experienced researcher/manager 
to run a very exciting 9 month project. 

The project involves working with at least 5 refugee NGOs to help them 
explore how the impact of climate change affects
their primary charitable purpose. You will be communicating with
beneficiaries, supporters and staff, producing reports of the results of
this work, lobbying Government and other policy makers and making detailed
recommendations for the voluntary sector. You will also be ovrseeing
carbon footprint audits of the organisations concerned.

This is part of a larger programme with four other groups of
non-environmental voluntary charities. The aim is to vastly increase
climate change mobilisation of the non-environmental voluntary sector. The
project is funded by the Baring foundation

The successful candidate will need to have: research experience, the
ability to write effective and powerful communications, knowledge of the
issues around climate change, knowledge of refugee/migrant protection
issues, experience of managing events, excellent interpersonal skills and
experience in establishing and maintaining partner organisation
relationships.

    * The post is for 9 months 2.5 days per week.
    * The office is in Oxford but you may work away from the office.
    * The salary is £21,250 pro rata
    * The holiday entitlement is 25 per annum days pro rata
    * COIN is looking for someone who can start work very quickly.
