Dear Keith,

Not sure if you are aware but, to complicate matters, Norman Denzin and Yvonna Lincoln have edited three different versions (1994, 2000, 2005) of the Handbook of Qualitative Research and they are substantially different such that the third is described by the publishers as 'virtually a new handbook'

Be careful not to buy the first or second editions by accident ... I suppose every reader has their favourite but for me the 3rd is by far the best so far. I have a copy of the 3rd edition but I don't want to let it out of my hands let alone sell it. However I would be happy to copy and send a particular chapter or two if you are desperate.

However whilst checking out there was not a 4th edition I came across The Handbook of Critical Methodologies (2008) edited by Denzin, Lincoln and Linda Tuhiwai Smith which looks even better to me

HI Keith and everybody

There are websites that offer second hand books. Try http://www.bookfinder.com<http://www.bookfinder.com/> and http://www.abebooks.co.uk<http://www.abebooks.co.uk/> (or.com). And you can always look on ebay.

However, I've had a quick look at abebooks and at the moment there don't appear to be any copies available for less than the price Penny says amazon are quoting.

Best wishes

Frederic Stansfield

Hi Keith
YOu can get it new from Amazon for £69 plus £2.75 post and packing... you
might find you end up paying more in the long run thought, once you realise how
easy it is to get books here... living out in the sticks I often resort to
amazon and you can get stuff for like 1p then with postage on top...but it can
get into a bit of a habit...

Has anyone got a second hand copy of

Denzil and Lincoln 'Handbook of Qualitative Research' I can buy please?

If anyone is hanging up their researcher's boots and would sell me one, I
might be able to pay a little less than the current £90 it is going for in the
shops.

Thanks

Keith Venables
