Dear list members,

I'm trying to understand whether remains of the Egyptian tortoise, Testudo kleinmanni Lortet 1883, have ever been identified in archaeological contexts.
Theoretically, Egyptians could have deeply interacted with such species, but after a literature search and after having directly bothered some zooarchaeologists, I have not been able to find any reference (there's some stuff on the web ... but no precise references).
Any ideas? Suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your help
