Talkaoke Night Science and Truth

Tuesday 11 November, 19.00-21.00

Science Museums Dana Centre

How does science relate to truth, and do artists and scientists see things differently? Prepare yourselves for our first ever talkaoke night of dynamic and democratic discussion.

Described as the ‘flying saucer’ or ‘doughnut’ of chat, the talkaoke table takes centre stage in this entertaining and experimental night of view sharing, swapping and switching. Unconventional worm scientist Dave Weinkove and artist Mikey Weinkove will be your talkaoke hosts to maximise opinion generation and creative discussion. Take your seat at the table and grab the mic

Jack Stilgoe, senior researcher at think tank Demos introduces the theme for the night. Can science really take us closer to truth? If you believe it then is it true? Don’t be economical with it; the truth will out, eventually. Share your ideas and have your say in this live chat show about science and truth, where everyone’s view counts.

This event is FREE. Please pre-book by ringing 02079424040 or emailing [log in to unmask]
