medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture I received this message from one of my colleagues and forward it here, because many of you may know Fr Chrosogonus: FvL Very sadly, I must tell you that Fr Chrysogonus suffered another stroke over the weekend and is now in hospice care at the monastery, and not expected to recover. All week I've been hoping to be able to send better news by waiting, but the news does not get better. Please keep him in your prayers, The community is keeping vigil with him and he is aware of his surroundings and his visitors, but unable to speak or to eat. What happy stories we all have to tell about him and what an enormous loss he will be to Cistercian scholarship and to those of us who love him.
