Research Assistant 'The Road to Voting' Institute of Communication Studies and the School of Fine Art, History and Cultural Studies (Full time - Fixed Term until 21 October 2010) Applications are invited for a Research Assistant to work on a project following the recent award of a grant by the AHRC for 'The Road to Voting'. The project will explore the aesthetic and affective dimensions of democratic engagement in its various existing and counterfactual forms. You will possess a PhD in a relevant subject area, although, non-academic applicants will be considered if they have equivalent research experience relating to the aims of this project. Previous research and administrative experience is essential along with excellent communication and IT skills. University Grade 6 (£24,152 - £28,839 p.a) It is likely that an appointment will be made at or below £26,391 p.a. since there are funding limitations which dictate the level at which the appointment can start.
